About Crossroads
Baltar is on trial for his crimes against humanity and he is defended by Romo Lampkin and Lee Adama. Admiral Adama is a member of the jury and convinced of his guilt. As the trial goes on, every opportunity is taken by the defence to prove that Baltar is not guilty. Lee throws oil on the fire by exposing Roslin's use of chamalla. She strikes back by announcing that her cancer has returned. Gaeta lies straight out about the order Baltar signed ordering many people to be executed. He states that he did it out of free will, while in fact he had a gun to his head. In the beginning it seems like the prosecution might win and there are many people who hate Baltar. On the other hand there are many people who worship Baltar. Lee is called as a witness and he pleas for Baltar's acquittal. According to Lee the system is flawed and there are many people who've committed crimes and other bad things and they were all forgiven. He talks about the collaborators from the time on New Caprica as well as his own actions. In the end, the plea is not quilty by 3 to 2. It turns out that Admiral Adama had voted for his acquittal after all. Roslin points out to Adama that Baltar is not innocent, to which Adama applies that not quilty is not the same as innocent. The fleet jumps to the Ionian Nebula. The cylons arrive too and Vipers are launched. Although Lee is officially not a pilot anymore he jumps in a Viper and sets off. He finds Starbuck who tells him that she's been to earth, that she knows where it is and that she's going to take everyone there. In the mean time Galen Tyrol, Saul Tigh, Tory and Sam Anders are very restless as they constantly hear music and they can't get it out of their heads. They wander off and all end up in the same room. According to Tyrol that proves that they are cylons. They are determined to keep doing their duties, as they have always done. Just as Tigh says: he is Saul Tigh and that's the person he will be.
About A Gleam Of Destiny
This two-parter seriously left me gobsmacked! How totally awesome! I especially like the mythical aspect coming right back in after being somewhat absent throughout most of the season. It's pretty obvious there is a destiny for Hera, we know that Starbuck and Baltar have a destiny too and now Roslin's taking chamalla again for her cancer her visions are back as well. We learn about the five final cylons and in the visions of Roslin, Athena and Hera, we see their silhouettes. Can you believe that Tyrol, Tigh, Sam and Tory are actually cylons? It's so frakking awesome to see it all intertwined and how everyone plays a part in finding the road to earth.
